Independent Partners will quote on receipt of the booking form depending on mileage and number of horses.

Appointments with David and Gudrun are payable at time of booking. 

All appointments are charged per horse plus mileage at £1 per mile form DA14 5DP. 

* Shims are chargeable on all saddle checks (Bates and Wintec) but only charged on new Wintec saddle sales, not Bates. Any shims already in a saddle at a saddle check appointment can either be exchanged if required and they are in good condition or returned to the owner.

** Gullet plates are chargeable on new saddle sales where the manufacturer supplies the saddle as a standard width i.e. Bates, Wintec, John Whitaker, Monarch, Pessoa, GFS, PDS if the saddle requires a different size to fit than supplied as standard. Gullet plates are also chargeable on saddle checks if the gullet plate removed is an older model or would not be sellable as new.

Our qualified saddle fitters will visit your premises for new saddle fits and existing saddle checks. We cover most of Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex.

Our team is happy to check the fit of your current saddle and make any adjustments required. As a rule, we recommend that you have your saddle checked by an SMS qualified saddle fitter at least twice a year. Horses change shape regularly throughout the year depending on grazing, fitness, and age.

However, if you have recently purchased a new saddle from us, we would recommend you have it checked within three months of purchase, as horses can change shape more quickly under a new saddle. Also, saddles that have wool flocked panels generally require a top-up of wool after being ridden in as the wool settles into place.

We sell good quality second-hand saddles on behalf of our customers. If you would like to try some of the second-hand saddles advertised on our website you will need to bring your horse to our yard in Kent for the appointment (BR7 6HA).  You can request an appointment here.

Booking and Appointment Policy:

• Appointments for saddle fittings should be scheduled in advance through our website and member of our team will be in contact.
• A confirmation will be sent to the customer upon successful booking.
• The full payment for the check or fit and the milage charge will be taken at the time of booking.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

• Customers must provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Failure to provide adequate notice may result in loss of appointment payment.

 Payment Terms:

• Full payment is required for any saddles or accessories purchased during or after the fitting session. Failure to make payment could result in legal action.
• We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and cash.
• Invoices will be sent to the email address provided on the booking form.
• We do not offer a "try before you buy" policy. We have a 14 day right to cancel policy, please speak to your fitter for further details.
• Any sales offered by David Dyer Saddles only apply to website orders, they cannot be used in conjunction with a saddle fitting appointment or instore purchases.

 Fees and Charges:

• Our standard saddle fitting fees are outlined on our website and may vary based on location and specific requirements.
• Additional charges may apply for travel expenses depending on the distance.

Refund Policy:

• Refunds will be considered in cases where a saddle fitting appointment is cancelled with sufficient notice.
• No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.

Liability and Risk:

• While every effort is made to ensure the safety and suitability of saddles, customers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with horse-related activities.
• David Dyer Saddles is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during or after the saddle fitting process.
• If any saddles are damaged on a saddle fitting appointment by an out of control horse. The owner may be liable for the cost for repairs to the saddle.

· Privacy Policy:

• Customer information collected during the saddle fitting process will be treated with confidentiality and in accordance with our privacy policy.

  Customer Satisfaction:

• We are committed to customer satisfaction. If there are concerns or issues with the saddle fitting service, customers are encouraged to contact us promptly to address and resolve the matter.

· Changes to Terms and Conditions:

• David Dyer Saddles reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions. Customers will be notified of any changes.
