Neue Schule Verbindend Loose ring

Greatly clarifies and emphasises the signals through the rein. Promoting self carriage and throughness, a true outline and freedom through the shoulder can be developed. The Verbindend has consistently helped eradicate tongue evasions, encouraging the horse to soften and relax through the jaw. The cleverly curved mouthpiece can also enhance the development of the bend for lateral work and smaller circles. This dressage legal snaffle is not severe, so if you are a pleasure rider and simply wish to lift the forehand then this bit is a logical choice.

Product FAQs

The Team Up is an ergonomically re-designed version of the traditional French Link that has addressed all the inherent design flaws. For instance, the cannons are curved reducing the pressure over the tongue’s sensitive outer edges. The loops securing the lozenge are smaller and the centrally fixed rounded lozenge as opposed to the flat plate of the French Link ensures that the mouthpiece contours smoothly over the tongue, is is often used for;
  • Improved comfort
  • A training bit
  • A very sensitive horse
  • A first bit
  • Horses that are not very strong

Neue Schule Demi Anky

Although single jointed, this bit is ergonomically designed to eradicate the ‘nutcracker’ action and consequent problems that the traditional straight-armed single jointed snaffle often causes. The cleverly curved mouthpiece prevents it from moving too far forwards in the mouth reducing pressure on the thinner more sensitive part of the tongue. It sweeps slightly away from the corner of the lip to lessen any chance of rubbing and the curvature down towards the bars achieves a gentle more even weight bearing surface. This design is very beneficial for horses that back off or only offer an intermittent contact or for the very rare occasion when a horse does not find a lozenge comfortable.

Neue Schule Pony Tranz Angled Lozenge Loose Ring

A gentle training tool with a bit of extra help All of the pony cheeks are scaled down in proportion with the neat pony mouthpieces. When a contact is taken, the Tranz Angled Lozenge rolls down onto the centre of the tongue, the ‘sweet spot’, enhancing feel and responsiveness thus a higher level of communication through the rein is achieved. The arms are slightly curved and of an oval profile. This oval design takes up less room between the tongue and upper palate, whilst offering a similar weight bearing surface from the pony’s perspective as thicker, circular mouthpieces.

Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Loose Ring

The NS Tranz mouthpiece is ergonomically designed for both comfort and communication. A very popular comfortable mouthpiece that promotes feel and responsiveness encouraging a soft sustainable contact. Our short link NS Tranz Angled Lozenge is aligned, uniquely, at 20° to the bore axes of the cheeks. When a contact is taken, the smoothly profiled lozenge and loops press gently down onto the centre of the tongue thus a higher level of communication through the rein is achieved. The more pressure – sensitive side areas of the tongue are thus relieved and the thicker less pressure-sensitive area is brought into play. The double joint allows more flexibility ensuring a clearer and more independent rein aid.

Neue Schule Turtle Top Tactio Loose Ring

TURTLE TACTIO™ WITH FLEX

Specifically engineered to accommodate the larger or sensitive tongue.  Often negates the need to shut the mouth.

FLEXT LOOSE RING

This bold TongueSMART™ design focuses rein pressure to the central part of the tongue whilst diverting pressure away from the sensitive regions near the bars. The unique central ‘Turtle’ link brings the proximal ends of the cannons to their closest separation possible. The Flex ™ concept of widening the surfaces that lie parallel to the plane of the tongue reduces the pressure further. With any kind of noseband the closed mouth easily accommodates the mouthpiece whose effective thickness in the region of the interdental space is the smallest in the Neue Schule range. To reward horses that want to work with you.

Turtle Tactio utilises the centre of the tongue in order to alleviate bar pressure.  This is comfortable for the horse as the centre of the tongue is depressed down onto the floor of the mouth whereas the outer edges of the tongue are not pushed down onto the angular, bony bars that are not well cushioned and therefore are much more prone to damage

The loose ring is the most popular cheek piece. The sliding action of the ring makes it less likely for your horse to be able to lean or block through the rein.

Neue Schule Turtle Top Loose Ring

TURTLE TOP™ WITH FLEX

Anatomy-inspired double jointed bit design with enhanced mouthpiece stability, through optimised alignment of the mouthpiece surfaces to the tongue and palate. The Turtle Top™ link shape takes inspiration from the shell of the Box turtle. This flattened dome shaped link lowers palate pressure and prevents the cannons from being pushed upwards above the link by the horse’s tongue.

The Neue Schule Flex design concept delivers a guaranteed and well controlled co-alignment of the surfaces of the mouthpiece with the sensitive surfaces of the equine mouth. For most designs Flex delivers parallel co-alignment of the Turtle Top™ dome with the equine palate. In selected designs we allow Flex to deliver some firm but fair additional pressure to the tongue and poll using a lever action-induced rotation of the mouthpiece. The extra pressure obtainable is carefully restricted with Flex limiting the range of additional rotation to around 10 degrees.

FLEXZ

FlexZ is a development of our popular Tranz range (hence the “Z”). Gently curved cannons form a wide arch aligned over the tongue and held in shape by Turtle Top™. FlexZ is therefore more securely centred on the tongue and more resistant to being pulled through the mouth.

FLEXZ LOOSE RING

The Loose Ring is our uncomplicated tried and trusted cheek. No matter what your rein tension the mouthpiece alignment to the mouth remains unchanged. The flattened underside of the FlexZ cannons with their anatomy-inspired recesses are held parallel to the tongue whatever riding activity you enjoy.

This innovation is brilliant for the over-active busy mouth that chomps and chews on the mouthpiece.  Turtle TopTM with Flex keeps the mouthpiece centred and arched over the tongue at all times, safely helping to prevent sideways tongue evasions. This comfortable mouthpiece re-focuses the inattentive mouth back onto the rein aids in order to achieve a soft consistent contact.
