A gentle, non-steroid cream for animal skin, Sweet Relief Silver benefits from the addition of Silver ions.  It's ideal for skin that's has been rubbed, causing some hair loss and minor abrasions.  Many customers also use it as a regular midge barrier cream for more sensitive areas of skin such as the face, teats and sheath.

  • Perform a patch test before using extensively.
  • Spread a thin layer on target areas and massage in by hand, twice a day.
  • If the target area is particularly moist, it will help to use a drying powder  before applying – this will absorb the moisture and help the cream adhere to the skin.  
  • Once any dry crusty patches have been dealt with, Sweet Relief cream or lotion may be more suitable for the maintenance of healthy, intact skin.

Biteback's Sweet Relief Quick-Silver Spray is the ultimate in skin care defence.  It contains the same concentration of Silver ions as our Silver cream, and the same amount of benzyl benzoate and benzyl alcohol as our Sweet Relief Lotion, providing it with the multiple benefits of both products.

How to use 
Patch test before using extensively.  Spray over the target area and massage in with fingers. The spray nozzle allows quick and effective coverage, as well as deep penetration into the coat/hair.  The lotion’s silky consistency helps to loosen and remove any crusts, without the need to pick them off.
Follow up with a thin layer of Sweet Relief Silveror Mudbar Plus cream when necessary.  A significant, positive improvement should be seen within two weeks. Our trigger sprays arrive in the 'off' position.  To adjust the spray, twist the nozzle at the and to the right [see the video].   It will produce both a fine mist and a jet.

How to Apply
Patch test before first use.
We suggest using this product on intact skin. Always patch test first. Apply daily to mane, tail and other target areas from early spring through to Autumn. Using fingers, apply a thin layer to the skin, massaging right into any toughened areas.
Due to some oil content, we don’t advise applying in the heat of the summer sun – either apply early morning/ evening.
A 500ml pot should last for 3 weeks in high season.

What Is in it? 
Traditional, safe ingredients include: benzyl benzoate to help stabilise the barrier function of the acid mantle; benzyl alcohol soothes an itch; allantoin which assists cell regeneration, and bog myrtle oil – an aromatic fragrance that has historically been associated with discouraging midges.   It does NOT contain any Neem.
