Luxurious comfort for your horse with broad bearing area that achieves a large footprint on your horse’s back. The wide and even chamber through the length of the saddle enables generous clearance of your horse’s spine. An open seat, with a square cantle for a comfortable position while jumping. A narrow waist provides closer contact, so you sit into the saddle rather than on the saddle. The Ergonomic stirrup bar enables the roller of the tongue on the buckle to be recessed into the bar and sit flush, which significantly reduces the bulk under your leg, by at least one thickness of leather. The Point and Balance strap girthing system achieves greater strength and durability and improves the distribution of pull from the front and back of the saddle to increase comfort and saddle stability.

This saddle works well on a wide variety of horses due to the changeable gullet plate and CAIR system. The square cantle allows a little more room in the seat and it makes this all-purpose saddle very comfortable for jumping.
Heritage leather upholds the traditional European practices of natural oil and wax tannage. The high oil and wax content of this performance leather ensures optimum suppleness and enhanced rider grip.Characteristic of the finest natural leather, the leather is heavily pre-oiled with visible shade variations, often being referred to as a ‘pull up’ leather with a traditional, if not distressed aesthetic. The depth of colour is dependent on the infused oil content within the fibers of each particular hide. The distinctive tones of colour are particularly visible when the leather is bent as the colour lightens returning over time to its original colour as the oils migrate back through into the fibers.

Select models feature soft milled, Opulence Leather on the exterior of the saddle, renowned for its ultra-soft and grippy characteristics, ensuring immediate rider comfort, security and reducing any ‘breaking in’ time traditionally associated with new saddles.Models featuring Opulence Leather often offer additional features such as a recessed stirrup channel for the ultimate in close contact, wear patches for added durability and key innovations in rider comfort and adjustability such as an Adjustable Ergonomic Stirrup Bar. I've recently had a few very successful fits with the Caprilli CC. The adjustability in the width and with the easy change risers allows us to refine the fit and make it perfect for the horse. Rider's have commented that they find the Cair System allows them a close feel to the horse. This, combined with the open seat and adjustable knee roll allows for free range of movement over fences and a good sense of security.
One customer in particular ordered this saddle in the Luxe leather in brown. It is beautiful. The Luxe leather is so lovely and grippy, it looks and feels like a high quality saddle. If you were thinking of getting a Caprilli, I'd really recommend looking at the Luxe leather option.
Would you recommend this saddle for horses with a flat back?
Yes, this saddle can be a brilliant choice for horses with a flatter back but they suit a wide range of back shapes. The changeable gullet plate and Easy Change riser system in the saddle means they can be quickly adjusted to suit a variety of different shaped horses, and keep being changed to your horses shape as it changes with the seasons. The shape of the front of the panel also makes this a good choice for horses with bigger shoulders as it's design sits the saddle behind the shoulder allowing free movement for the horse.
